GOOD NEWS
How beautiful on the mountains
are the feet of those who bring good news,
who proclaim peace,
who bring good tidings,
who proclaim salvation,
who say to Zion:
are the feet of those who bring good news,
who proclaim peace,
who bring good tidings,
who proclaim salvation,
who say to Zion:
“Your God reigns!”

NOTHINGNESS
God of the aching numbness.
Lord of the palpable emptiness.
God of the blatant barrenness.
Lord of the painful silence.
God of the bare-bone brokenness.
Father of the soul-wrenching solitude.
God of the no-thing nothingness.
In
seasons of ploughing and sowing, You are God.
In seasons of drought
and sorrow, You are forever Lord.
At harvest time, You are still God.
You never change even as the seasons come and go like the relentless ebb and flow of a quiet and strong ocean.
You are Lord of
all.

THE COLOUR OF WATER
What is your taste? What is your scent?
Your colour? It draws me in and sinks me deep until I'm totally submerged. Rivers, canals, oceans, seas, streams and lochs. Even new
morning showers and every ceremonial hand wash is like wading into
baptismal waters for the very first time all over again.
Down, then up.
Swelling and swooshing; back and forth. Ripples folding in then out
again; peaks rising in passion before dipping deep. Frothing and oozing, simmering and fading.
Mystery and majesty; power and
patience; comfort and chaos.
Wet, soaked, drenched, reflecting, sparkling,
glistening, trickling, golden, clear, muddy, heavy, frozen, fluid, fresh...
Now the earth was formless and
empty, darkness was over the surface of the deep, and the Spirit of God
was hovering over the waters.
Deep calls to deep in the roar of your waterfalls; all your waves and breakers have swept over me.

DREAM BIG!
More than you could ever imagine in your wildest dreams: more risks,
more challenges, more pain and so much more joy. Can you see it?
If you can imagine it
and figure it out, if it doesn't fill you with dread, make your knees buckle with fear and pull you to ground in total awe, reverence and surrender, then it probably ain't worth thinking about!
